a great buffet, china cabinet, and some blue hedgehogs
I sold the American of Martinsville coffee table last week, so I had some space to fill at Cold Harbor. John helped me move a new china cabinet up on Sunday, and that great buffet is displayed better now. I got an absolutely huge load of books (over 600!) this past week (thanks Sarah), but haven’t been able to really get into them yet (next week!).
Holiday Open House at Cold Harbor Antique Mall
Cold Harbor Antique Mall is having a Holiday Open House this Sunday (12/7/08) from noon until 5 pm. If you’re looking for something special for yourself or as a gift, this is the time to visit — most of the vendors will be having a sale so you may find the perfect thing and get a discount!
I’m having a 20% off sale all weekend so come check out my new space and let me know what you think. If you’re looking for something special let me know and I can try to find it for you.
I should be there early so make sure you stop and say “hi”. Hope to see you there!
my new antiquing thing

After thinking about it for a long time, I’ve jumped into the world of antiquing. I’m renting a space at the Cold Harbor Antique Mall in Mechanicsville and I’ve got furniture and lamps and dishes and stuff for sale.
Etsy sells everything . . .
John McCain . . .
is so NOT my friend.
Someone from my past “found” me again today. (For those few who know me, this is something that would normally freak me out, today it was a good thing.) In the past couple of months 4 people have found me and only two of them are people I was actually friends with. I’m so happy that both of these people thought enough of me to get in touch again. It makes me feel special in a way I can’t explain. I didn’t have real roots as a kid, we moved around a lot, so to now find out that I really made connections worth something to these people is really an awesome thing. Thank you.
On the agenda for this evening . . .
1,825 days
The number of days it took for John to catch me on the can. . . humiliating. I will install a lock on the door tomorrow.
Armwa? Awesome.
Want it? Go here.
